eTail West 2018: What to Watch For

Christian Sharrow-Blaum • February 26, 2018

Today marks the kickoff of eTail West 2018, and we couldn’t be more excited to get out of chilly Chicago and settle in for four days in sunny Palm Springs, CA. Running through March 1, this year’s conference promises to be a memorable one, as the top minds of America’s most successful retailers come together to share stories and strategies that will propel the industry forward into 2018 and beyond. Swing by Booth 816 to meet the LYONSCG team and learn more about what it takes to drive digital success in 2018 – and how we can help you get there.

What to Watch For

With more than 220 speakers, eTail West 2018 is chock-full of needle-moving content from some of the best and brightest in the industry. With so many amazing sessions – and so little time – here’s what we’re looking forward to most from some our clients and partners.

User Experience Optimization at Modcloth: From landing page through check-out, user experience and mobile-friendly design are the lynchpins of a successfully designed mobile shopping experience. Head of Customer Facing Product, Kara Skrip, will share some simple strategies that will drive sales and enable mobile growth.

The Jump From Online to Offline: The most important variable in retail success is how well brands understand their customers’ shopping journey. Crisanta German, Director of Omnichannel at Sugarfina plans on sharing her strategies for tracking touchpoints and painting a clearer picture of your customers and their needs.

Centralizing Commerce Across Channels/Creative Content in Email: Shoe Carnival is a leading retailer of family footwear, and has experts contributing to two high-level discussions on some extremely useful digital topics. VP of Digital, Kent Zimmerman will delve into all things omnichannel during his panel on what works (and what doesn’t) in omnichannel commerce. Bethany Wallace, Mobile Marketing Manager, will break down email and content marketing best practices and how they translate to – and drive – successful digital commerce strategies.

Putting the Consumer [Data] Back in the Consumer Experience: It wouldn’t be a retail conference without Rob Garf, VP of Industry Strategy and Insights at Salesforce Commerce Cloud. At eTail West, he will get down to the brass tacks of AI, its data requirements, and its retail applications. Check out this session to learn how retailers are harnessing the consumer data that enables AI to be successful.

eTail West 2018 promises to be one of this year’s premier eCommerce events. If you’re in Palm Springs this week, come stop by Booth 816 to discuss your digital goals and learn how LYONSCG can help you realize them. See you there!
