Vanity Upgrades to Magento Enterprise for Improved Functionality

CHICAGO, IL – Vanity, a specialty retailer of apparel for fashion conscious young women, announces the re-launch of their online store, evanity.com.  Vanity turned to Lyons Consulting Group (lyonscg), the premier eCommerce design, development and support firm, to upgrade the Vanity site by positioning them on the Magento Enterprise platform and add specific features to improve usability for both the customer and the company.

“Our previous platform was cumbersome and the limited customer service and outdated features made us realize we needed something new,” said Stephanie Blair, eCommerce Manager at Vanity. “Lyons Consulting Group has been a key partner during this transition.”

In order to accommodate the multiple key features that Vanity was requesting within an expedited timeframe, lyonscg first needed to move their entire site over to the Magento Enterprise edition which contains many intricate functionalities and features designed specifically to improve user experience. Along with moving their site to a more customizable platform, lyonscg was able to tailor several other extensions for Vanity including:

  • Integration of an order management system to improve efficiencies through real time projections of inventory, logistics and sales
  • Installation of new wireframes for efficient navigation and a more logical layout, making it easier for customers to shop and purchase on the site
  • Implementation of a quick view option to allow users a pop-up snapshot of a selected product and add to cart capability without navigating to a new page
