Capgemini’s LYONSCG fuels eCommerce learning at Northwestern University

Kellogg School of Management turns to LYONSCG to support its digital education efforts in the classroom

CHICAGODec. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Lyons Consulting Group (LYONSCG), part of Capgemini, today announced its pro bono engagement with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. As part of this engagement, LYONSCG implemented Salesforce Commerce Cloud to assist graduate students in the School’s eCommerce and Digital Marketing program.

Graduate students in the eCommerce and Digital Marketing course are tasked with establishing business teams and creating an eCommerce website where real products are “sold” to real consumers. To see success in this experiential and innovative learning class, students must develop a strong retail strategy that includes merchandising, vendor negotiations, pricing and promotions, and a compelling advertising plan.

LYONSCG built and implemented a reusable eCommerce storefront template on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and has supported this project for the past two and a half years. To help ensure proper training within the Business Manager tool, LYONSCG architects and analysts work closely with Kellogg School professors. Then, at the end of each quarter, the sites are wiped clean and re-set for the incoming class.
