Lyons Consulting Group and Shopatron Bring New Omnichannel Capabilities to Demandware Customers 

Lyons Consulting Group and Shopatron announce upcoming Certified LINK Cartridge for Demandware Commerce

January 6, 2014 – Chicago, IL – Lyons Consulting Group (lyonscg), the industry’s premier eCommerce Digital Agency offering eCommerce solutions that help retailers maximize online potential, and Shopatron, the leading provider of cloud-based, eCommerce order management, today announced they are working together to provide a new Order Management/Inventory capability under the Demandware LINK Certification Program. The partnership brings the core of Shopatron’s cutting edge technology, the patented Shopatron Order Exchange, to Demandware customers, allowing them to quickly deploy advanced fulfillment capabilities like in-store pickup, ship-from-store, inventory lookup, and vendor drop-ship without disrupting existing Web deployments, POS systems, or warehousing applications. When implemented, shoppers will see available inventory levels—especially at retail outlets—as well as greater convenience and flexibility in pickup, shipping, and return options.

The new capabilities will help Demandware customers meet the promise of omnichannel retailing by providing a number of Shopatron features currently unavailable in the Demandware platform, including:

  • Customer views of real-time in-store inventory availability to facilitate broader delivery options
  • Selections for in-store pickup, ship-to-store and ship-to-home
  • Increased location-specific details including store hours, store contact email, and latitude/longitude coordinates
  • Enablement of the use of retail outlets for forward inventory and shipment, reducing warehousing costs
  • Toolsets for customer care and managing returns

The firms expect the certified cartridge to be available in mid-February.
