Lyons Consulting Group Expands Into New Rockford Office

Steve Susina • May 24, 2013

Rockford, IL – Lyons Consulting Group (lyonscg), the premier eCommerce design, development and support firm, is pleased to announce the opening of a satellite office in Rockford, IL that will house a new development and support center to manage lyonscg’s ecommerce websites. Due to continual business growth, lyonscg required more office space to accommodate their expanding team.

“There is a lot to be excited about at Lyons Consulting Group and opening this satellite office is just the beginning of our growth strategy,” said Dave Barr, Executive Vice President at Lyons Consulting Group. “Our company is highly dedicated to complete customer satisfaction. In order to maintain the highest of standards, we needed to expand our customer support and development capabilities for our customers’ Magento and Demandware ecommerce sites.”

The new office, located at 605 Fulton Avenue in Rockford, allows lyonscg to recruit beyond downtown Chicago, recruiting in the suburbs and other outlying areas. Rockford was a logical choice for the new location. Not only is Rockford relatively close to the Chicago headquarters and centrally located to provide support across time zones throughout the US, but it is also in the proximity of several respected colleges and universities which provide a steady stream of strong technical talent.

Chuck Konkol, a Programming Instructor from Rock Valley College understands the importance of gaining valuable employers in the Rockford community. “Having Lyons Consulting Group build a development and support center in Rockford has been beneficial for the students of Rock Valley College as well as the city of Rockford,” said Konkol. “It is great to see our students get their career started with such a reputable company, especially without having to leave the Rockford area.”

Dan Cataldi, Director of EIGERlab, a mixed-use incubator serving the Rockford region with leading edge business and engineering support services, agrees. “Lyons Consulting Group is a great addition to the mix of software, IT, and development companies that have opened an office in the Rockford region.  We envision a peer group of non-competing technical companies that could help each other with common challenges and Lyons Consulting Group will be a cornerstone for that collaboration,” said Cataldi.

Lyons Consulting Group’s main office is located at 405 West Superior Street in Chicago. Lyonscg has already hired eight employees for their Rockford office, including two programmers from the local Rock Valley College. They continue to hire for both the Chicago and Rockford offices.
