The previous site was on an under-performing platform that provided limited flexibility in design and features. Ghirardelli required the new site to have completely integrated functionality in order to easily make updates and changes as different products became available or the season required different promotions.
The new site was built on both the Magento Enterprise and Drupal, leveraging the strengths of both platforms, allowing for one cohesive design and easier maintenance. The new site gives Ghirardelli the flexibility needed through a more robust and scalable platform, but also through several key integrations and added features.
Lyons Consulting Group also migrated Ghirardelli’s online recipe portion to a new and improved Drupal platform which provides quick access to the backend of the site so they now can easily update information, images and holiday recipes.
